This project was creating a raised bed edible garden in my back yard of our newly purcahsed house. We had a blank slate to work with with weeds serving as our grass, so I wanted to reduce the amount of 'grass' as possible so we didn't have to mow as much.

I envisioned multiple metal beds for my veggies each year, since metal beds are more durable than the cedar beds I had tried at my old house. I planned to have 6 raised beds, with one being a home to my vermi-composting bin. I also wanted hardscaping that would be easy to maintain, so I chose river rocks as the gravel.

I did the project in chunks, where I focused on one area for a year and then added the additional four raised beds the next year to keep costs down. Below are the results!
