Simple Curb Appeal Upgrade
Conceptual design of a Marietta home's front yard

The client wanted to boost curb appeal of her property with native flowers that surrounded her existing shrubs and trees in the front yard. Her budget was small, so we focused on only native perennial flowers, which could be started by seed if she wanted to keep costs down.
There were already existing shrubs around the porch and a brick border they had put in, so I didn't want to disturb what they currently had, since they were both busy with two children. Around the shrubs by the front porch would be Lanceleaf coreopsis, Purple coneflower, and Husker red beadtongue, which would provide a staggered seasonal interest and are hardy, drought-tolerant plants.
I included a nice mailbox planting with Blue sage, Smooth blue aster, more beardtongues, and Black-eyed Susans to provide a welcoming burst of color.
